Down With People are Ron Nine (guitar, theremin, vox), Scott Boggan (bass, vox), Scott Vanderpool (drums, vox). And oh yes, don't forget Michael Laton (light/dark show), who projects exploding light inevitable over the band during performance.
A dinky danky POWER TRIO! Down With People play a blend of original punk-driven psych-rock nuggets with a few oldies thrown in. We've been holed up in Ron's basement working on some songs, and have a few rough mixes for you to sample here (check back soon for some streaming action).
This is Ron Nine's first project since Love Battery split four years ago, and it reunites the three high school friends for the first time since Room Nine called it quits back in the late 80's. It also brings us full circle with Michael Laton, who has been bending NW minds for nearly 20 years (several years after doing the same thing to San Franciscans during the 60's).
